1. Processing & Fulfillment Standards

  • Fulfillment Timeline: Most orders are processed and dispatched within 1–3 business days

  • Made-to-Order Items: Certain items are made-to-order and ship directly from the manufacturer. Please refer to the specific lead times noted in the product description, as these may require additional processing time.

  • Transit Times: Following dispatch, delivery typically occurs within 5 business days, subject to destination and courier capacity.

  • Seasonal Adjustments: Processing and delivery windows may be extended during high-volume periods, including sales, promotions, and holiday seasons.

  • Order Verification: For security and fraud prevention, certain orders may require additional verification of payment or address details; shipments will be held until this process is finalized.

  • Customer Information: NorthernCart Inc. is not liable for delays resulting from incomplete or inaccurate customer data provided at checkout.

2. Shipping Rates & Regions

NorthernCart Inc. currently facilitates shipping exclusively within Canada to support the Canadian circular economy.

  • Rural & PO Boxes: Deliveries to rural addresses and PO boxes are serviced via Canada Post; alternative couriers may be selected in the event of postal disruptions.

3. Delivery Specifications & Carrier Protocol

  • Confirmations: Upon shipment, a confirmation email will be sent including a tracking number and courier information.

  • Carrier Delays: Delivery estimates are non-guaranteed; NorthernCart is not responsible for delays caused by weather, carrier backlogs, or operational disruptions.

  • Lost Packages: If a package is delayed or missing, we will initiate a carrier investigation (typically 10–20 business days); refunds or replacements are only issued upon carrier confirmation of loss.

  • “Delivered” Status: Orders marked as “Delivered” by the carrier are considered fulfilled; customers must initiate a trace with the carrier if the package is missing despite this status.

4. Returns & Order Management

  • Return-to-Sender Protocol: Upon the return of a package due to failed delivery, refusal, or address error, NorthernCart will attempt to contact the customer via email to verify details.

  • Resolution Window: Customers have 5 business days to respond to arrange re-shipment; if no response is received, a refund will be issued minus original shipping fees.

  • Re-shipment Fees: Customers are responsible for additional shipping costs incurred due to address-entry errors or failure to collect a parcel.

  • Damaged Items: Please report items damaged in transit within 48 hours of receipt, providing clear photos of the product and all original packaging.

  • Environmental Sensitivity: NorthernCart is not liable for temperature-related damage (melting or freezing) once the order has shipped.

  • Cancellations: We are unable to reroute or modify orders once they have reached “Dispatched” status.
