I’m Zane Caplansky, a 4th generation Deli Man. My great grandmother made legendary corned beef sandwiches for Toronto’s garment district workers. I opened my deli in 2008 using many of her recipes. Not sure if Bubby Molly made her own mustard but I do. At first, we made our mustards just for our own sandwiches. Then people started stealing them off the tables. So we smartened up, jarred them and started offering them for sale. Today, over 600 butcher shops and fine food stores carry our four flavours: Ballpark, Horseradish, Spicy and Old Fashioned.
