Processing & Fulfillment Times
Most orders are processed and shipped within 1–3 business days. Delivery typically occurs within up to 5 business days, depending on the destination and courier timelines. Processing and delivery times may be extended during sales, promotions, and holiday seasons.
Order Verification
Orders may require additional verification for security or fraud-prevention purposes. This may include confirmation of payment details, address verification, or clarification of order information. Orders will not ship until verification is complete. NorthernCart is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete or incorrect customer information.
Shipping Confirmation
Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email that includes the tracking number, courier information, and a link to track your order. Some orders may ship in multiple packages, and you will receive separate email notifications if this happens.
Carrier Delays & Delivery Issues
Delivery estimates provided at checkout are not guaranteed. NorthernCart is not responsible for delays caused by carrier backlogs, weather conditions, peak holiday volume, incorrect or incomplete addresses, postal disruptions, or operational delays outside of our control. If a package appears delayed or missing, NorthernCart will assist by contacting the carrier to begin an investigation. Carrier investigations may take 10–20 business days.
Refund or Replacement Eligibility
Refunds or replacements will only be issued when one of the following occurs:

The carrier completes an investigation and confirms the package is officially lost, or
-
The package is returned to NorthernCart.
Refunds are not provided for late deliveries, including holiday delays such as missed Christmas arrival.
Packages Marked as Delivered
If the carrier marks the package as “Delivered,” NorthernCart considers the order fulfilled. If you did not receive your package, a trace must be opened with the carrier. NorthernCart cannot issue a refund or replacement unless the package is returned to us or the carrier confirms it is lost.
Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses
Customers are responsible for ensuring that shipping details are accurate. NorthernCart is not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer. Refunds for address-related issues will only be processed once the package has been returned to NorthernCart.
Return-to-Sender Packages
Packages may be returned to NorthernCart due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the parcel not being picked up, delivery refusals, or multiple failed delivery attempts. When a package is returned to sender, a refund will be issued once the package is received back at our facility, minus the original shipping cost. Shipping fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.
Damaged Items on Arrival
If your item arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours. Include clear photos of the damaged item, photos of the packaging, and your order number. The original packaging must be retained for carrier claims. Claims submitted without packaging or required photos may be denied by the carrier.
Weather-Sensitive & Heat-Sensitive Products
For products that may melt, freeze, or be damaged by weather conditions, NorthernCart is not responsible for temperature-related issues once the order has been shipped. Customers are responsible for promptly retrieving delivered packages.
Holiday Shipping & Cutoff Dates
Holiday shipping cutoff dates are recommended guidelines and are not guaranteed. NorthernCart cannot issue refunds for holiday orders that arrive later than expected.
Tracking Issues
Tracking updates may be delayed or infrequent. This is normal and does not necessarily indicate a lost package. If tracking does not update for more than 5 business days, NorthernCart can assist in opening a carrier investigation.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for entering accurate shipping information, monitoring tracking updates, and contacting the courier for delivery coordination if needed. NorthernCart will assist with communication but cannot override carrier processes.
Shipping Restrictions
NorthernCart currently ships within Canada only. We are unable to reroute or modify orders once they have been shipped.
Rural & PO Box Deliveries
Rural addresses and PO boxes are shipped via Canada Post. In the event of a postal disruption, NorthernCart may select an alternative courier.
