In 2012, our founder Sheena Russell started making simple, nourishing snacks using ingredients she was picking up on her weekly farmers market visits in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Organic oats, local wildflower honey, dried fruit and even artisanal nut butters, all from small, family farmers and producers.

So when an opportunity came to sell these snacks at that same market, the name Made with Local was born.
